This is Greg’s second year as the Associate Director of Instrumental Music at Alta Sierra Intermediate and Buchanan High School. Prior to his current role, Greg taught percussion in Southern California at Arcadia HS, La Cañada HS, Los Alamitos HS, Thousand Oaks HS, Sierra Vista HS, and Chino Hills HS.

He also served as an adjunct professor of percussion at California State University, Bakersfield, front ensemble coordinator at Golden Empire, and adjunct professor of percussion at Bakersfield College.

Greg received his Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance from Washington State University and his Master of Music in Percussion Performance from California State University, Northridge. He performed in DCI with the Cascades and Blue Stars, and in WGI with Pulse Percussion.

Greg has been an active WGI and DCI educator for over 10 years. He is currently on staff with RCC Indoor Percussion. Before RCC, Greg taught at POW Percussion Indoor for six years as a battery tech, front ensemble coordinator, and ensemble coordinator.

Greg was formerly the Battery Caption Head at the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps for three years. Prior to that, he was a battery tech with the Bluecoats, contributing to the ensemble’s Fred Sanford Award for Best Percussion in 2022.
