Event Details

Show Site: Veteran’s Memorial Stadium @ Buchanan High School
Gates Open: 5:30pm
Star-Spangled Banner (All Bands): 6:10pm
Alta Sierra Performs with the Combined Intermediate School Band: 6:25pm
Buchanan Performs: 7:05pm
Admission: Free!
Concessions are available for audience members only (not BHS/ASI band students)

ASI Band Reminders

  • No students will be dismissed until the event is finished and we return to the ASI Bandroom. Students will be signed out from the Alta Sierra MPR after the event.

  • We will stay after school. You do not go home. Dinner is provided!

  • Wear your red ASI Instrumental Music Shirt along with jeans and tennis shoes.

  • Water will be provided during rehearsal and in the stands after the performance.

  • NO CONCESSIONS. Your family may not bring you food/concessions during this event.

  • ASI Band members, wear something long-sleeved and warm UNDER your Band shirt! Bring something warm to wear when the performance is over.

  • Video Recording is Not Allowed at any Alta Sierra Performance or Festival. Recording of any group or performance is against copyright laws. Thank you for your cooperation.

  • This event is a celebration of the hard work that ALL of the CUSD band programs have done this fall. Please support and cheer for all groups equally!

BHS Band Reminders

  • We will rehearse after school. Dinner is provided.

  • Don't forget your 5 S's - ApolloS (N/A this year), Shirt, Shorts, Socks, & Shoes!

Alta Sierra Itinerary

2:30pm ASI Band Report to the ASI Bandroom. (Excused from 6th Period)

  • Get instruments out of cases and put cases back in your lockers.

  • Line up by instrument type and get seated.

2:45pm Go to sectionals at locations below with BHS. Work on Pep Tunes, Star-Spangled Banner, and “High Hopes”.

  • Flutes: BHS 451

  • Clarinets: BHS P1

  • Altos: ASI Bandroom

  • Low Saxes: ASI Bandroom/Percussion Room

  • Trumpets: BHS Theater Stage

  • French Horns: BHS Makeup Room

  • Baritones/Trombones: BHS P2

  • Tubas: BHS Percussion Room

  • Percussion: BHS Bandroom

  • Guard: BHS MPR

3:45pm Full band rehearsal on Practice Field B2 (next to BHS Soccer Field).

  • Make block, play SSB, play High Hopes

4:15pm Watch Buchanan Run-Through
4:30pm Rehearsal Ends. ASI goes to dinner in MPR and sits at assigned tables by section. (Leave space for BHS)
4:45pm BHS joins ASI for dinner. Use the restroom/fill water.
5:20 pm Out to the Buchanan Band Practice Field.
5:30 pm Set Up for combined SSB with ASI & BHS Bands.
5:50 pm Move in a single file line to the stadium entrance.
6:00pm CUSD Band Night Begins
6:10 pm "Star Spangled Banner" played by all High School & Middle School Bands. When the SSB is over, exit the field, line up instruments, and enter stands. 
6:25 pm Alta Sierra Performs with the Combined Intermediate School Band
6:45 pm Watch Clovis North Perform
7:05 pm Watch Buchanan Perform
7:25 pm Watch Clovis High Perform
7:45 pm Watch Clovis East Perform
8:05 pm Watch Clovis West Perform
8:25 pm Event concludes. Retrieve instruments from the track, then walk back to the Alta Sierra Bandroom together as a group.
8:45 pm ALL Alta Sierra students sign-out with their parent in the Alta Sierra MPR.

Buchanan Itinerary

During 6th: Guard & Percussion take as much as possible out to the stadium (i.e. props, etc)
2:30pm School ends. Report to BHS Bandroom. Change into uniform.
2:45pm Report to Sectionals with ASI (Locations above)
3:30pm Take everything out to the field
3:45pm Rehearse with ASI Band (N/A this year: No Apollo boxes. Get a plume!)
4:15pm Standstill run-through of the show for Alta Sierra.
4:30pm Each section meets with ASI and walk in 2’s to BHS MPR. You must eat together.
4:45pm Dinner in BHS MPR. Sit with your section! Use the restroom. Bring your water jug.
5:15pm Take all pit equipment and props to the stadium. Front Ensemble on Side 1 Lined up along the track past the CUSD Plants. CE, CW, CHS, CN in front of you. All props to side 2. OUR SECTION is the STUDENT Section.
5:30 pm Set Up for combined SSB with ASI outside stadium.
5:50 pm Move in a single file line to the stadium entrance.
6:00pm CUSD Band Night Begins
6:10 pm "Star Spangled Banner" played by all High School & Middle School Bands. Exit field, line up instruments and enter stands. 
6:25 pm Alta Sierra Performs with the Combined Intermediate School Band
6:45 pm Watch Watch Clovis North then immediately move to the field.
7:05 pm Buchanan Performs
7:25 pm Watch Clovis High Perform
7:45 pm Watch Clovis East Perform
8:05 pm Watch Clovis West Perform
8:25 pm Event concludes. Take ALL props, equipment, front ensemble instruments, etc back to the Bandroom/Prop Storage Area. Change out of uniform.
9:00 pm Dismissed from Buchanan.
