General Trip Details

Student Transportation: School bus from BHS.
Performer Attire
Buchanan Jazz Bands: dress shoes (black socks only), slacks/dress pants/skirts (length must be past the knee), long-sleeve button-up dress shirts/blouses, or nice dresses (length must be past the knee). Coats/ties are optional. Leggings, jeggings, or yoga pants are not acceptable for concert attire. All students must be in CUSD Dress Code.
Alta Sierra Jazz Band: ASI Instrumental Music polo shirt, black dress-style shoes, black dress-style slacks with belt, and black socks (no white socks, please). All students must be in CUSD Dress Code.

Festival Provides: Chairs, Stands, Piano, Guitar Amp, Bass Amp, Vibes, Drum Set (no hi-hat stand or cymbals)
Students bring: Instruments and Accessories.

Note about shared equipment: Each student must personally verify that they have all equipment they need for the performance. For example, Drummer A cannot assume that Drummer B has the cymbals, because Drummer B might be making the same assumption. You must personally verify that all shared equipment is where you need it, when you need it. Communicate and work together.

BHS Jazz Band A
10:00am - Board bus and depart for Fresno State.
10:30am - Arrive at Fresno State. Store instruments in designated area.
10:45am - Lunch. Bring a sack lunch or $15-20 for on-campus dining options.
Noon - Watch John Beasley and the Fresno State Jazz Orchestra (Concert Hall). Arrive early to get seats.
1:30pm - Watch Clovis High A (Concert Hall).
2:00pm - Warm-up (M206).
2:30pm - Performance (Concert Hall).
3:00pm - Clinic (M127), then store instruments in designated area.
3:45pm - Watch University High School B (Concert Hall).
4:15pm - Board bus. Leave shared equipment for BHS B.
4;30pm - Arrive at BHS.
BHS Jazz B
3:45pm - Call time at BHS Band Room in performance attire with sheet music, instruments, and accessories. Board bus and depart for Fresno State.
4:15pm - Arrive at Fresno State. Store instruments in designated area and watch Clovis West A (Concert Hall).
4:45pm - Warm-up (M206).
5:15pm - Performance (Concert Hall).
5:45pm - Clinic (M127).
6:15pm - Board bus.
6:30pm - Arrive at BHS.
