Winds Grading

This assignment represents your entire marching band rehearsal attendance grade. Here is how it works:

• If you attend all rehearsals and you are on time, you will maintain a 100% grade.

• If you miss a rehearsal for any reason, you will lose 20 points.

• If you are tardy for any reason, you will lose 5 points.

• Excused absences may be made up. Our attendance policy explains excused absences. (Linked below)

• Excused & Unexcused Absences prior to 9/11/26 can be made up. After 9/11, only excused absences can be made up.

• CART students are excused as long as they report to rehearsal as soon as they return from CART.

Making Up Absences:

• You must put in 15 minutes of marching band practice time in the bandroom with the approval of Mr. Lack for every hour of rehearsal missed. This can be done before or after school when we don't have rehearsal. Please make arrangements with Mr. Lack to make up for an absence.

Your absences and tardies will be noted on this assignment as private comments.

As this is a new procedure, we expect there to be some adjustments as we work out the details.

The goal is for you to be at rehearsal, not to penalize your grade!
