Chaperone Instructions

Thank you for joining us on this trip!

General Guidelines

1. The chaperone does not stay with the student group in the park. The students are free to explore on their own. There are exceptions, but feel free to enjoy the day with other chaperones!

2. No alcohol is to be consumed at any time during the trip, including what can be purchased in the park.

3. Report any issues to the director immediately. Even minor issues.

4. Students check in on the even hours with a full selfie of their group in the park. Make sure you hear from all groups.

Bus Loading Instructions

When you arrive in the morning, find your lead chaperone to discuss duties. We will begin loading as soon as possible, so be ready!

Chaperone Loading Duties:

• Tape the Bus Signs to the window (ask the driver where it’s okay to do so)

• Take Attendance (two people comfortable with Google Sheets)

• Facilitate loading on the bus (make sure students use every seat and to place chaperones between genders/schools.

• Get driver’s name and phone number and add them to the attendance list.

Bus Loading Notes:

1. Most chaperones will need to sit with another chaperone. Adults do not sit with students. Unmarried/different gender chaperones should not sit together.

2. Chaperones sit between each group (between boys/girls & between BHS & ASI.

3. Have the students fill every possible seat. If you have two singles, have them combine. If there is an odd number of students for that gender group, only one student in that group will sit alone.

4. A chaperone should also sit in the very front seat, passenger side, usually the one responsible for attendance.

5. Be aware of the students throughout the bus trip. They are not to switch seats.

Upon Arrival at the Toy Story Parking Lot

1. Exit the bus and meet your groups.

   1. Distribute ticket bags to the BHS Groups when they are all together.

   2. Distribute ticket bags to the ASI Groups as you approach the ticket gate.

2. ASI Groups go with their chaperone until they are inside Disneyland Park.

3. BHS Groups may go on their own from the bus to the park.
