General Trip Details

Student Transportation: Concert Band will be transported to and from the event via school bus; Symphonic Band transported to the event ONLY, but should be transported home by parents.
Meals Provided/$ for Meals Needed: Students in Concert Band will be back to school for the regular lunch period, but Symphonic Band members should pack a lunch, as they will need to eat before their regular lunch time.
Concert Attire: All members of Concert and Symphonic Band are to wear their red ASI Instrumental Music polo shirt, black slacks, black socks, black dress shoes, and a black belt. Shirts must remain tucked in for the duration of our time at the festival!

Spectator Parking: Spectators may park in any lot surrounding the concert hall not marked “staff”.

Important Reminders
Audio and/or Video Recording is strictly prohibited at any Buchanan Performance or Competition. Recording of any group or performance is against copyright laws and Buchanan risks penalty if anyone from our organization were to video record. Thank you for your cooperation. Please remind fellow spectators of this policy.
Students are expected to remain with the Band for the duration of their Band’s session.

Itinerary - Concert Band (1st & 4th Periods)
8:40 am - Concert Band (includes all students in 1st and 4th period Band & Percussion classes) report to the Band room dressed in concert attire, get instruments and music binder and line up for attendance.
9:00 am Load the buses.
9:15 am Depart for Clovis North.
9:30 am Arrive at Clovis North, drop instruments in storage area, and go to concert hall.
9:40 am Session I Welcome & Announcements
9:45 am Listen to the Session I Bands
10:45 am Warm-up time.
11:15 am Concert Band Performance
11:35 am Put instruments away, then listen to the remaining Session I Bands.
12:30 pm Session 1 ends. Concert Band collect instruments and return to the buses.
*Percussion: LEAVE INSTRUMENTS AT CLOVIS NORTH for Symphonic Band
12:35 pm Concert Band depart Clovis North for Alta Sierra.
12:45 pm Concert Band arrive back at Alta Sierra. Students should change, eat lunch, and go to 6th period as usual.
Itinerary - Symphonic Band (2nd)
*Symphonic Band go to 2nd and 4th periods as usual.
11:45 am Released from 4th period to change into concert attire.
12:00 pm Eat Lunch (make sure to bring a bag lunch because the cafeteria may not be open at this time).
12:20 pm Get instruments & music, and go with director escort to the buses.
12:30 pm Load the buses.
12:45 pm Depart for Clovis North.
1:00 pm Arrive at CN, drop instruments in storage area, and go to concert hall.
1:25 pm Session II Welcome & Announcements.
1:30 pm Listen to Session II Bands
3:oo pm Warm-up time.
3:30 pm Symphonic Band Performance
4:00 pm Festival ends. All Symphonic Band members will collect their instruments and music, and wait outside the concert hall to be picked up.
2nd Period Percussion should bring their assigned instrument home, and back to ASI Friday morning
All Symphonic Band members are to be picked up outside the Performing Arts Center at Clovis North HS no later than 4:00 PM!
