Since I first began orchestra with Mr. Lack in 7th grade, one particular event has stood out in every trip: dining at Italian restaurant Buca di Beppo. Each year I grew close with the seniors and sadly watched them graduate after a special lunch together. Now as a senior myself, the final pasta meal was bittersweet. We had chicken carbonara, vegetable ziti, and alfredo fettuccine. Of course my favorite part has always been the loaves of bread preceding the family style dishes. Eating with a group of my peers and having the chance to enjoy their company is one of the highlights on each musical adventure. As Mr. Lack likes to say, it wouldn't be an orchestra trip without Buca di Beppo.
