Important Reminders For Everyone
Please eat before you arrive.
Dress/Attire: Dress very nicely and within the dress code. If it might be questionable as far as the dress code is concerned, don’t wear it.
It is going to be very warm and while it will cool off during the ceremony, it will still be quite warm when we arrive. Before you arrive, please drink plenty of water prior to arrival.
Wear sunscreen - the event is outdoors!
Bring your RED WATER JUG! Drink water Monday Night and all day Tuesday!
Etiquette: This is a formal ceremony and your best behavior is expected throughout the duration of the evening. No phones or gum during the graduation ceremony. Phones should be turned off and left in your instrument case.
Jazz Band A Specific Schedule
Rehearsals & Performance
Tuesday, June 3:
Sound Check:
Seniors: Bring your instruments and music to the stadium for graduation practice and leave them on the stage so they are ready to go for the sound check.
Non-seniors: we will meet in P2 when school begins and then spend our final time setting up.
We’ll start as soon as the grad practice concludes (probably between 11am and Noon) and finish as soon as we and the sound technicians are comfortable.
Pre-Ceremony Performance:
Call Time: 6:00pm @ BHS Bandroom to rehearse for Concert Band (Seniors 6:38pm @ BHS Bandroom). Don’t be late. Leave extra time for busy parking lots and to set up for Concert Band.
Perform 7:00pm-7:40pm. After this, seniors will join the processional and non-seniors will join the concert band.
Clean-up: After the ceremony, all non-seniors will help return all jazz equipment to P2.
Concert Band • Non-Senior Wind Symphony Reminders
Report Time: 6:00pm
Students with immediate family members graduating: If you have an immediate family member graduating this year, you may be excused from performing with the band so that you may sit with your family. Please speak with a director if this applies to you. All other 9th-11th grade students in Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony are required to attend.
We will finish between 9:45pm~10:00pm. We need to clean everything up and return to the bandroom. Please make sure you have a ride arranged between 10:15pm~10:30pm
