Fall 2026 Band Class Placements

Thank you for preparing your evaluations! Below is a list of the current placements in Wind Symphony.

• The names are listed alphabetically. No parts or chairs have been assigned. This will be done at the beginning of the year.

• No position is permanent. There is an expectation that all students will learn their music with a high degree of proficiency and treat others with respect and kindness. Changes will be made mid-year, if necessary.

• If you see spots marked ‘OPEN’, they are yet to be filled. If you did not make the Wind Symphony and would like to re-audition for an open spot, please see Mr. Neu to discuss this.

• Wind Symphony Members: You must sign a contract confirming you will attend scheduled performances and trips. That contract will be available soon.

• If you didn’t make Wind Symphony, don’t fret! We’d be happy to chat with you about your evaluation and discuss what you can do to improve your chances. Some have discovered that making an instrument switch is the way to go and that will be the case in the future, especially for instruments like oboe, trombone, tuba and French horn. Check out who is going to be a senior in the Wind Symphony, switch to that instrument this year in Symphonic Band, take lessons, and put yourself in a position to make it next year.
