Unexpected Experience

When I joined orchestra I didn’t expect to go on an out-of-state trip or anything as crazy as that. Neither did I think that I would meet a famous musician in person. Mr. Livingston is a famous musician and someone who has been put into the Music for All Hall of Fame. Mr. Livingston is now 80 and still with a passion for music!

Meeting Mr. Livingston was like a rollercoaster, fun and exciting. It was an experience I never encountered before. Mr. Livingston was an exciting energetic man showing much fun to all of the students and kids. He always knew how to make someone smile or laugh and he had TRUE compassion for music. He made me feel like there is more to music than just a scholarship or just graduating high school, but that it’s a gift to play, and that we should use the gift properly. Mr. Livingston showed and told me a lot, but one thing I am sure to never forget is, the gift to be able to play, even if I do not continue my music career I still will continue playing it.
